Privacy policy

Saclic Studio operates Youmeal on the web (youmeal.app). For privacy questions or requests, email contact@saclicstudio.com.

Fridge photos: sent to Microsoft Azure OpenAI only to list the food they show. We do not keep the photos.

Your kitchen: your preferences (nights, diets, exclusions, equipment), fridge, week and grocery list are stored in your browser and, when you have a session, in our Supabase database.

Account: a pseudonymous identifier is created at your first scan or at payment. If you save your account, we store your email (and, if you choose Google, the profile details Google shares with us).

Purchases: Whop handles payment. We receive your subscription or purchase status, the plan, your Whop identifier and the link to manage your subscription. We never receive your card number.

Usage analytics: only if you accept cookies, PostHog receives page views, funnel steps, offer interactions, language and device type. These events never contain your photos.

Messages to us: if you contact us, we process what you send so we can reply.

To provide the service (scan, week, groceries) and the paid access you bought; to understand and improve Youmeal; to answer your requests; and to meet legal obligations. Depending on the case, processing relies on providing the service or purchase, our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving it, your consent for analytics, or a legal obligation.

Depending on the features you use, data may be processed by Microsoft (Azure OpenAI, photo analysis), Supabase (database and sign-in, hosted at Hetzner), Hetzner (website hosting), Whop (payments and subscription management), PostHog (analytics, with your consent) and Google (if you sign in with Google). These providers may process information in countries outside yours; we use them only for the purposes above and apply the safeguards the law requires.

Data in your browser stays there until you clear it. Account data is kept while the account exists and deleted on request. Providers keep payment, analytics and security records according to their terms and the law. We keep messages only as long as needed to handle them.

You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy of your data by emailing contact@saclicstudio.com. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time with the “Cookies” link at the bottom of the page. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription: manage it with “Manage my subscription” in your account. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

Youmeal is not directed to children under 15. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email contact@saclicstudio.com.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the current version; material changes will be communicated where the law requires.
