Homemade Chimichurri (Grandma's Recipe)
Ingredients
- 11 cup fresh parsley(30g)
- 24 garlic cloves(12g)
- 32 tablespoon dried oregano(6g)
- 41 teaspoon crushed red pepper(2g)
- 50.5 teaspoon ground black pepper(1g)
- 60.5 teaspoon salt(3g)
- 70.5 cup vinegar(120g)
- 80.5 cup olive oil(110g)
- 91 small onion(60g)
- 100.5 red bell pepper(60g)
Instructions
- 1Finely chop the parsley, garlic, onion, and red bell pepper if using.
- 2In a bowl, mix all the chopped ingredients together. Add the oregano, crushed red pepper, ground black pepper, and salt.
- 3Pour in the vinegar and mix well to hydrate the ingredients.
- 4Slowly add the olive oil while stirring to emulsify the sauce.
- 5Adjust salt, vinegar, and spiciness to taste.
- 6Let the chimichurri rest for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
- 7Refrigerate for 1 hour before using.
