- 12 piece filet mignon steak(340g)
- 21 teaspoon salt(6g)
- 30.5 teaspoon black pepper(1g)
- 41 tablespoon olive oil(13.5g)
- 52 tablespoon butter(28g)
- 62 clove garlic(6g)
- 71 sprig fresh rosemary(2g)
Instructions
- 1Pat the filet mignon steaks dry with paper towels.
- 2Season both sides of the steaks generously with salt and black pepper.
- 3Heat olive oil in a heavy skillet over high heat until just smoking.
- 4Add the steaks and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until a brown crust forms.
- 5Reduce heat to medium. Add butter, smashed garlic cloves, and rosemary to the pan.
- 6Tilt the pan and spoon the melted butter over the steaks repeatedly for 1-2 minutes.
- 7Continue cooking until steaks reach desired doneness (about 3-4 minutes more for medium-rare).
- 8Remove steaks from the pan and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
