Ingredients

  • 12 piece filet mignon steak(340g)
  • 21 teaspoon salt(6g)
  • 30.5 teaspoon black pepper(1g)
  • 41 tablespoon olive oil(13.5g)
  • 52 tablespoon butter(28g)
  • 62 clove garlic(6g)
  • 71 sprig fresh rosemary(2g)

Instructions

  1. 1Pat the filet mignon steaks dry with paper towels.
  2. 2Season both sides of the steaks generously with salt and black pepper.
  3. 3Heat olive oil in a heavy skillet over high heat until just smoking.
  4. 4Add the steaks and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until a brown crust forms.
  5. 5Reduce heat to medium. Add butter, smashed garlic cloves, and rosemary to the pan.
  6. 6Tilt the pan and spoon the melted butter over the steaks repeatedly for 1-2 minutes.
