Amish Friendship Bread Without A Starter
Ingredients
- 11 Egg(50g)
- 21 teaspoon Baking soda(5g)
- 32 cup Flour(250g)
- 40.25 teaspoon Salt(1.5g)
- 51 cup Sugar(200g)
- 60.33 cup Sugar mixed with(67g)
- 71 teaspoon Vanilla(4.2g)
- 80.5 cup Butter(113g)
- 91 cup Buttermilk(240g)
Instructions
- 1Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- 2In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- 3Beat in the egg and vanilla.
- 4In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- 5Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients alternately with the buttermilk, mixing just until combined.
- 6Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- 7Sprinkle the top with the sugar mixed with (cinnamon or other flavoring, if desired).
- 8Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- 9Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
