Pan-Seared New York Strip Steak with Garlic Herb Butter

- 12 New York strip steak(680g)
- 21 teaspoon Salt(6g)
- 33 Garlic cloves(9g)
- 45 tablespoon Butter(71g)
- 53 sprig Fresh rosemary(6g)
- 63 sprig Fresh thyme(3g)
- 72 tablespoon Oil(27g)
Instructions
- 1Season both sides of the New York strip steaks generously with salt.
- 2Smash the garlic cloves and remove their skins, leaving them whole.
- 3Cut the butter into slices or cubes.
- 4Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot and shimmering.
- 5Place the steaks in the skillet and do not move them for 2 minutes to build a crust.
- 6Add the butter, rosemary, thyme, and smashed garlic around the steaks.
- 7Stir the butter, herbs, and garlic around the steaks as the butter melts to infuse the flavors.
- 8Once the butter is melted, flip the steaks and reduce the heat to medium.
- 9Continuously baste the steaks with the flavored butter for 3-4 minutes, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- 10Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest for 5 minutes.
- 11Season the leftover melted butter with a bit of salt and use it as a dip for the steak or side dishes.
