  • 12 New York strip steak(680g)
  • 21 teaspoon Salt(6g)
  • 33 Garlic cloves(9g)
  • 45 tablespoon Butter(71g)
  • 53 sprig Fresh rosemary(6g)
  • 63 sprig Fresh thyme(3g)
  • 72 tablespoon Oil(27g)

Instructions

  1. 1Season both sides of the New York strip steaks generously with salt.
  2. 2Smash the garlic cloves and remove their skins, leaving them whole.
  3. 3Cut the butter into slices or cubes.
  4. 4Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot and shimmering.
  5. 5Place the steaks in the skillet and do not move them for 2 minutes to build a crust.
  6. 6Add the butter, rosemary, thyme, and smashed garlic around the steaks.
  7. 7Stir the butter, herbs, and garlic around the steaks as the butter melts to infuse the flavors.
  8. 8Once the butter is melted, flip the steaks and reduce the heat to medium.
  9. 9Continuously baste the steaks with the flavored butter for 3-4 minutes, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  10. 10Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest for 5 minutes.
  11. 11Season the leftover melted butter with a bit of salt and use it as a dip for the steak or side dishes.
