Easy Crockpot French Dip Sandwiches
Ingredients
- 12.5 lb chuck roast(1134g)
- 21 yellow onion(150g)
- 31 packet onion soup mix(28g)
- 41 packet au jus mix(28g)
- 54 cup beef broth(960g)
- 62 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce(30g)
- 71 teaspoon salt(6g)
- 80.5 teaspoon black pepper(1g)
- 91 teaspoon garlic powder(3g)
- 101 teaspoon onion powder(3g)
- 111 French baguette(250g)
- 128 slice cheese (such as pepper jack)(160g)
- 130.5 cup mayonnaise(120g)
- 141 teaspoon Meat Church Holy Gospel seasoning(3g)
- 151 teaspoon Meat Church Honey Hog seasoning(3g)
Instructions
- 1Season the chuck roast with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- 2Optional: Sear the roast on both sides in a hot pan for better flavor.
- 3Slice the onion and add it to the bottom of the crockpot.
- 4Place the seasoned roast on top of the onions.
- 5Sprinkle the onion soup mix and au jus mix over the roast.
- 6Add a couple dashes (about 2 tablespoons) of Worcestershire sauce.
- 7Pour in the beef broth.
- 8Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
- 9Remove the roast and shred the meat. Ladle some of the cooking juices over the shredded meat.
- 10Mix mayonnaise with garlic powder, Holy Gospel seasoning, and Honey Hog seasoning to make flavored mayo.
- 11Slice the baguette and spread with the flavored mayo.
- 12Add shredded beef and cooked onions to the baguette, top with cheese slices.
- 13Place the sandwiches under the broiler until the cheese is melted.
- 14Serve with a bowl of the au jus (cooking liquid) for dipping.
