Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 1230 g Unsalted Butter(230g)
- 2160 g Caster Sugar(160g)
- 3160 g Light Brown Sugar(160g)
- 4450 g Chocolate Chunks or Chips(450g)
- 5475 g Plain Flour(475g)
- 61 teaspoon Salt(6g)
- 73 teaspoon Baking Powder(12g)
- 80.75 teaspoon Baking Soda(4g)
- 92 Eggs(100g)
- 101 Egg Yolk(18g)
- 111 teaspoon Vanilla Extract(5g)
Instructions
- 1In a large mixing bowl, add the cold cubed butter and whisk until slightly creamy.
- 2Add the caster sugar and light brown sugar, then whisk together until well combined and fluffy.
- 3Add the eggs, egg yolk, vanilla extract, and chocolate chips or chunks. Whisk until fully incorporated.
- 4Add the plain flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gently mix until just combined, do not overmix.
- 5Portion the dough into 75-80g balls.
- 6Place the cookie dough balls onto a tray and freeze for at least 30 minutes or overnight for best results.
- 7Preheat oven to 165-170°C.
- 8Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the tops are lightly golden while the centres remain soft.
- 9Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- 10Serve warm with ice cream.
