Swedish Meatballs (IKEA Style)
Ingredients
- 1500 g beef(500g)
- 21 egg(50g)
- 3150 g breadcrumbs(150g)
- 41 cup milk(240g)
- 52 clove garlic, finely chopped(6g)
- 62 tablespoon flour(16g)
- 71 teaspoon salt(6g)
- 80.5 teaspoon black pepper(1g)
- 90.25 teaspoon nutmeg(0.5g)
- 101.5 cup chicken or beef stock(360g)
- 11200 ml cooking cream(200g)
- 121 tablespoon soy sauce(16g)
- 131 teaspoon Dijon mustard(5g)
Instructions
- 1In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, milk, finely chopped garlic, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg. Mix until well combined.
- 2Shape the mixture into small meatballs.
- 3Roll the meatballs lightly in flour.
- 4Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the meatballs until browned on all sides and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- 5In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons of flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- 6Gradually add the chicken or beef stock, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
- 7Add the cooking cream, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard. Stir and cook until the sauce thickens and becomes creamy.
- 8Return the meatballs to the skillet and simmer in the sauce for a few minutes.
- 9Serve hot.
