Simple Fettuccine Alfredo
Ingredients
- 18 ounce fettuccine pasta(227g)
- 24 tablespoon butter(57g)
- 31 cup grated Parmesan cheese(100g)
- 40.5 cup pasta cooking water(120g)
- 50.25 teaspoon black pepper(0.5g)
Instructions
- 1Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
- 2Add the fettuccine pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions.
- 3While the pasta cooks, place the butter in a large serving dish and flatten it.
- 4Once the pasta is cooked, reserve about half a cup of the pasta cooking water.
- 5Drain the pasta and immediately place it on top of the butter in the serving dish.
- 6Add half of the grated Parmesan cheese and mix well.
- 7Pour in some of the reserved pasta water and continue mixing until the sauce is creamy and coats the pasta.
- 8Top with black pepper and the remaining Parmesan cheese.
- 9Serve immediately.
