Slow Cooked Beef with Creamy Mash
Ingredients
- 1500 g beef brisket(500g)
- 21 onion(120g)
- 3250 ml beef stock(250g)
- 41 teaspoon salt(6g)
- 50.5 teaspoon black pepper(1g)
- 62 bay leaves(1g)
- 74 tablespoon gravy granules(32g)
- 85 potatoes(750g)
- 950 ml cream(50g)
- 101 tablespoon butter(14g)
Instructions
- 1Peel and slice the onion.
- 2Place the beef brisket and onion in a slow cooker.
- 3Add beef stock, salt, pepper, and bay leaves.
- 4Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender.
- 5Remove the beef and shred it with two forks.
- 6Stir gravy granules into the cooking liquid to thicken.
- 7Peel and chop the potatoes, then boil in salted water until soft.
- 8Drain the potatoes and mash with cream and butter until smooth.
- 9Serve the shredded beef with gravy over the creamy mashed potatoes.
