Ingredients

  • 12 cup Pinto beans(400g)
  • 20.5 Onion(60g)
  • 32 clove Garlic(6g)
  • 42 tablespoon Vegetable oil(28g)
  • 51 teaspoon Salt(6g)
  • 64 cup Water(960g)

Instructions

  1. 1Rinse the pinto beans and soak them in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. 2Drain and rinse the beans. Place them in a pot with fresh water, onion, and garlic.
  3. 3Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until beans are tender, about 1.5 to 2 hours.
  4. 4Drain the beans, reserving some of the cooking liquid.
  5. 5Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. 6Add the cooked beans and mash them with a potato masher or spoon.
  7. 7Add reserved cooking liquid as needed to reach desired consistency.
  8. 8Season with salt and cook, stirring, until the beans are thick and creamy.
