Ingredients

  • 12 cup warm water(470g)
  • 21 tablespoon instant yeast(9g)
  • 31 tablespoon sugar(12g)
  • 42 teaspoon salt(12g)
  • 51 tablespoon vegetable oil(14g)
  • 61 tablespoon honey(21g)
  • 74 cup all-purpose flour(500g)

Instructions

  1. 1Add warm water to a large bowl.
  2. 2Add instant yeast and sugar. Whisk and let sit for about 10 minutes until foamy.
  3. 3Add salt, vegetable oil, and honey. Whisk until well combined.
  4. 4Add all-purpose flour. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  5. 5Cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm spot for 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
  6. 6Turn the dough onto a well-floured surface. Fold the dough over itself and shape into a log.
  7. 7Place the dough onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Cover and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  8. 8Make a few diagonal slashes on top of the loaf with a sharp knife.
  9. 9Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
