Never-Fail French Loaf (No Knead)
Ingredients
- 12 cup warm water(470g)
- 21 tablespoon instant yeast(9g)
- 31 tablespoon sugar(12g)
- 42 teaspoon salt(12g)
- 51 tablespoon vegetable oil(14g)
- 61 tablespoon honey(21g)
- 74 cup all-purpose flour(500g)
Instructions
- 1Add warm water to a large bowl.
- 2Add instant yeast and sugar. Whisk and let sit for about 10 minutes until foamy.
- 3Add salt, vegetable oil, and honey. Whisk until well combined.
- 4Add all-purpose flour. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
- 5Cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm spot for 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
- 6Turn the dough onto a well-floured surface. Fold the dough over itself and shape into a log.
- 7Place the dough onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Cover and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.
- 8Make a few diagonal slashes on top of the loaf with a sharp knife.
- 9Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
