Tasty Crousty Chicken Bowl
Ingredients
- 1400 g chicken breast(400g)
- 21 tablespoon barbecue sauce(18g)
- 32 tablespoon sweet soy sauce(36g)
- 41 teaspoon salt(6g)
- 51 teaspoon black pepper(2g)
- 62 teaspoon cumin(4g)
- 74 teaspoon paprika(8g)
- 81 teaspoon turmeric(2g)
- 92 teaspoon herb mix (parsley/garlic)(4g)
- 101 cup breadcrumbs(100g)
- 111 egg(50g)
- 121 cup vegetable oil(220g)
- 132 cup rice(370g)
- 142 tablespoon crème fraîche(30g)
- 152 tablespoon mayonnaise(28g)
- 162 tablespoon sweet and sour sauce(36g)
- 171 tablespoon parsley(4g)
- 180.5 cup crispy fried onions(30g)
Instructions
- 1Wash the rice thoroughly and cook according to package instructions.
- 2In a bowl, mix barbecue sauce, sweet soy sauce, salt, black pepper, cumin, paprika, turmeric, and herb mix.
- 3Add chicken breast pieces to the marinade and mix well. Let marinate for at least 20 minutes.
- 4In a separate bowl, combine breadcrumbs with a pinch of paprika, black pepper, and cumin.
- 5Beat the egg in another bowl.
- 6Coat the marinated chicken pieces in the breadcrumb mixture, then dip in the beaten egg, and coat again in breadcrumbs for a thick crust.
- 7Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
- 8Fry the breaded chicken pieces for about 2 minutes on each side until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- 9For the sauce, mix crème fraîche, mayonnaise, sweet and sour sauce, sweet soy sauce, salt, black pepper, and parsley in a bowl.
- 10To assemble, place a generous layer of rice in a bowl, add sauce, then top with sliced crispy chicken.
- 11Add more sauce on top, sprinkle with crispy fried onions, and drizzle with extra sweet and sour sauce if desired.
