Instructions

  1. 1Wash the rice thoroughly and cook according to package instructions.
  2. 2In a bowl, mix barbecue sauce, sweet soy sauce, salt, black pepper, cumin, paprika, turmeric, and herb mix.
  3. 3Add chicken breast pieces to the marinade and mix well. Let marinate for at least 20 minutes.
  4. 4In a separate bowl, combine breadcrumbs with a pinch of paprika, black pepper, and cumin.
  5. 5Beat the egg in another bowl.
  6. 6Coat the marinated chicken pieces in the breadcrumb mixture, then dip in the beaten egg, and coat again in breadcrumbs for a thick crust.
  7. 7Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  8. 8Fry the breaded chicken pieces for about 2 minutes on each side until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  9. 9For the sauce, mix crème fraîche, mayonnaise, sweet and sour sauce, sweet soy sauce, salt, black pepper, and parsley in a bowl.
  10. 10To assemble, place a generous layer of rice in a bowl, add sauce, then top with sliced crispy chicken.
  11. 11Add more sauce on top, sprinkle with crispy fried onions, and drizzle with extra sweet and sour sauce if desired.
