Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 12.25 cup all-purpose flour(281g)
- 21 teaspoon baking soda(5g)
- 31 teaspoon salt(6g)
- 41 cup butter, softened(227g)
- 50.75 cup granulated sugar(150g)
- 60.75 cup brown sugar, packed(165g)
- 71 teaspoon vanilla extract(4g)
- 82 large eggs(100g)
- 92 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips(340g)
- 101 cup chopped nuts (optional)(120g)
Instructions
- 1Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 2In a small bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- 3In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
- 4Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- 5Gradually beat in the flour mixture.
- 6Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
- 7Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- 8Bake for 9–11 minutes or until golden brown.
- 9Let cookies cool on the baking sheets for 2 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
