Cosy Grub Winter Warmer Stew
Ingredients
- 1500 g beef chuck(500g)
- 21 onion(120g)
- 32 carrot(140g)
- 42 celery stalk(80g)
- 52 potato(300g)
- 62 garlic clove(10g)
- 74 cup beef stock(960g)
- 82 tablespoon olive oil(27g)
- 91 teaspoon salt(6g)
- 100.5 teaspoon black pepper(1g)
- 112 bay leaf(1g)
- 121 tablespoon fresh thyme(3g)
Instructions
- 1Cut the beef chuck into bite-sized pieces.
- 2Peel and chop the onion, carrots, celery, and potatoes.
- 3Mince the garlic cloves.
- 4Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
- 5Add the beef and brown on all sides.
- 6Add the onion, carrots, celery, and garlic. Cook for 5 minutes until softened.
- 7Pour in the beef stock and add potatoes, bay leaves, thyme, salt, and black pepper.
- 8Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover.
- 9Simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until the beef is tender and the vegetables are cooked.
- 10Remove bay leaves and serve hot.
