Ingredients

  • 11 sheet puff pastry sheet(250g)
  • 2175 g guava paste(175g)
  • 3125 g cream cheese(125g)
  • 41 egg(50g)
  • 50.25 cup water(60g)
  • 60.25 cup sugar(50g)

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat the oven according to the puff pastry package instructions.
  2. 2Cut the puff pastry sheet into 6 equal rectangles.
  3. 3Place pieces of guava paste and cream cheese in the center of half of the rectangles.
  4. 4Brush the edges of the rectangles with beaten egg.
  5. 5Place the remaining rectangles on top to cover the filling and press the edges to seal.
  6. 6Brush the tops with more beaten egg and make 3 small slits on each pastry.
  7. 7Bake according to the puff pastry package instructions, until golden brown.
  8. 8While baking, make the syrup by heating water and sugar in a saucepan for 1–2 minutes until dissolved.
  9. 9Remove the pastries from the oven and brush the tops with the syrup while still warm.
  10. 10Let cool slightly before serving.
