Hot Honey Chicken Tenders with Mac and Cheese
Ingredients
- 1500 g chicken tenders(500g)
- 21.5 cup all-purpose flour(180g)
- 31 cup milk(240g)
- 41 tablespoon chili powder(8g)
- 51 teaspoon salt(6g)
- 60.5 teaspoon black pepper(1g)
- 70.25 cup honey(85g)
- 82 tablespoon hot sauce(30g)
- 9250 g macaroni pasta(250g)
- 101.5 cup cheddar cheese(170g)
- 112 tablespoon butter(28g)
- 121 cup milk (for cheese sauce)(240g)
- 131 tablespoon flour (for cheese sauce)(8g)
Instructions
- 1Marinate the chicken tenders with salt, black pepper, and chili powder. Let rest for 1-2 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
- 2Prepare a dredging station: Place flour in one bowl, milk in another.
- 3Coat each chicken tender in flour, then dip in milk, then coat again in flour.
- 4Let the coated chicken rest for at least 10 minutes.
- 5Fry the chicken tenders in hot oil until golden brown and cooked through.
- 6In a small saucepan, combine honey and hot sauce. Heat gently to make the hot honey glaze.
- 7Drizzle or toss the fried chicken tenders in the hot honey glaze.
- 8For the mac and cheese, cook macaroni pasta according to package instructions and drain.
- 9In a saucepan, melt butter, add flour, and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk to make a smooth sauce.
- 10Add cheddar cheese to the sauce and stir until melted and smooth.
- 11Combine the cheese sauce with the cooked macaroni. Mix well.
- 12Transfer mac and cheese to a baking dish and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 10-15 minutes.
