Ingredients

  • 11 sheet puff pastry dough(250g)
  • 2200 g cream cheese(200g)
  • 350 g walnuts, ground(50g)
  • 41 apple, diced(150g)
  • 52 tablespoon powdered sugar(16g)
  • 62 tablespoon honey(42g)

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. 2Roll out the puff pastry sheet.
  3. 3Spread cream cheese evenly over the entire surface of the dough.
  4. 4Sprinkle ground walnuts over one section, and diced apple over another section.
  5. 5Fold the dough in half.
  6. 6Cut the dough into strips to make about 14 small pieces.
  7. 7Twist each strip and shape into a knot or rose shape, tucking the end underneath.
  8. 8Place the knots on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  9. 9Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. 10For the apple knots, dust with powdered sugar after baking.
  11. 11Brush all knots with honey while still warm for shine and moisture.
