Spicy Italian Sausage Rolls
Ingredients
- 11 pack puff pastry(400g)
- 24 spicy Italian sausages(400g)
- 32 tablespoon all-purpose flour(16g)
- 41 egg(50g)
- 51 tablespoon poppy seeds(9g)
Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it in half lengthwise.
- 3Brush the inside of each pastry strip with beaten egg.
- 4Remove the sausages from their casings. Sprinkle a little flour on them and roll them into long, even logs about the length of the pastry strips.
- 5Place a sausage log onto each pastry strip and roll up, sealing the edge well.
- 6Cut the rolls into 1-inch pieces and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- 7Brush the tops with more egg wash and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
- 8Bake for about 40 minutes, until golden and puffed.
- 9Let cool slightly before serving.
