Ingredients

  • 11 pack puff pastry(400g)
  • 24 spicy Italian sausages(400g)
  • 32 tablespoon all-purpose flour(16g)
  • 41 egg(50g)
  • 51 tablespoon poppy seeds(9g)

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. 2Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it in half lengthwise.
  3. 3Brush the inside of each pastry strip with beaten egg.
  4. 4Remove the sausages from their casings. Sprinkle a little flour on them and roll them into long, even logs about the length of the pastry strips.
  5. 5Place a sausage log onto each pastry strip and roll up, sealing the edge well.
  6. 6Cut the rolls into 1-inch pieces and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. 7Brush the tops with more egg wash and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  8. 8Bake for about 40 minutes, until golden and puffed.
  9. 9Let cool slightly before serving.
