Ingredients

  • 1500 g regular beef mince (ground beef)(500g)
  • 21 onion, grated(120g)
  • 31 teaspoon garlic, freshly minced(5g)
  • 41 egg(50g)
  • 51 cup breadcrumbs(60g)
  • 61 tablespoon ketchup(15g)
  • 71 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce(15g)
  • 80.5 teaspoon pepper(1g)
  • 91 teaspoon salt or beef or chicken stock powder(6g)
  • 103 tablespoon olive oil, for frying(40g)

Instructions

  1. 1In a large bowl, combine the beef mince, grated onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, and salt or stock powder.
  2. 2Mix all ingredients together until well combined.
  3. 3Shape the mixture into 8-10 flattened meatballs (rissoles).
  4. 4Heat olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
  5. 5Add the rissoles to the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through.
  6. 6Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels if desired.
  7. 7Serve hot with your choice of sides.
