Ingredients

  • 1250 ml milk(250g)
  • 21 egg(50g)
  • 32 tablespoon sunflower oil(24g)
  • 41 tablespoon sugar(12g)
  • 50.5 tablespoon salt(8g)
  • 6240 g wheat flour(240g)
  • 71 tablespoon dry yeast(10g)
  • 81 tablespoon wheat flour (for sprinkling)(8g)
  • 9100 ml hot water (for oven steam)(100g)

Instructions

  1. 1In a bowl, mix 250 ml of warm milk with 1 egg.
  2. 2Add 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil (or any oil), 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 0.5 tablespoon of salt. Mix well.
  3. 3Add 240 g of wheat flour (about 2 cups) and 1 tablespoon of dry yeast. Mix thoroughly until the dough is smooth.
  4. 4Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a cloth. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 2 hours.
  5. 5Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
  6. 6Prepare a baking tray. Spoon the dough onto the tray in two layers.
  7. 7Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of wheat flour over the top for extra crunch.
  8. 8Place a container with 100 ml of hot water in the oven to create steam.
  9. 9Bake for 30 minutes until the bread is golden and crispy outside.
  10. 10Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve.
