Crispy Ham and Cheese Rolls
Ingredients
- 12 slice Ham(40g)
- 22 slice Mozzarella cheese(40g)
- 31 tablespoon Cream cheese spread(20g)
- 41 sheet Pastel dough (thin pastry sheets)(40g)
- 51 Egg(50g)
- 6150 ml Milk(150g)
- 71 pinch Salt(1g)
- 80.5 cup Panko breadcrumbs (or regular breadcrumbs)(30g)
- 9500 ml Vegetable oil (for frying)(460g)
Instructions
- 1Lay out 2 slices of ham on a flat surface.
- 2Place 2 slices of mozzarella cheese on top of the ham.
- 3Spread 1 tablespoon of cream cheese over the cheese.
- 4Roll up the ham and cheese tightly to form a log.
- 5Place the roll on a sheet of pastel dough and roll it up, wrapping several times to seal well.
- 6Press the edges with a fork to seal the sides.
- 7In a bowl, beat 1 egg with 150 ml of milk and a pinch of salt.
- 8Dip the rolled pastel into the egg mixture, coating all sides.
- 9Roll the coated pastel in panko breadcrumbs (or regular breadcrumbs) to cover completely.
- 10Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 180°C (350°F).
- 11Fry the rolls until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
- 12Remove and drain on paper towels before serving.
