Ingredients

  • 1520 g flour(520g)
  • 23 g salt(3g)
  • 33 g baking powder(3g)
  • 430 g oil(30g)
  • 5300 ml water(300g)

Instructions

  1. 1Add flour, salt, baking powder, and oil into a bowl. Mix everything together.
  2. 2Gradually add the water while mixing until the dough becomes soft, smooth, and not sticky.
  3. 3Cover the dough and let it rest for 1 hour.
  4. 4Divide the dough into balls, about 85–90 g each.
  5. 5Roll each ball into a tortilla shape.
  6. 6Cook each tortilla on a lightly oiled, preheated pan for 25–30 seconds on the first side and about 15 seconds on the second side.
  7. 7As soon as each tortilla is cooked, place it immediately into a clean kitchen towel and wrap it to keep them soft and flexible.
  8. 8Let tortillas cool completely before storing in an airtight plastic bag or wrapping tightly in plastic wrap to keep them soft.
