French Christmas Gingerbread
Ingredients
- 1300 g flour(300g)
- 2100 g date syrup(100g)
- 350 g sugar(50g)
- 4100 ml plant-based milk(100g)
- 580 g almond paste(80g)
- 680 g neutral oil(80g)
- 740 ml orange juice and zest(40g)
- 81 baking powder sachet(15g)
- 92 teaspoon four spice mix(5g)
Instructions
- 1Mix plant-based milk, oil, date syrup, orange zest and juice together.
- 2Add baking powder and spices, mix well.
- 3Incorporate sugar and flour until smooth.
- 4Pour into a lined mold.
- 5Bake at 140°C in a convection oven for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- 6While warm, wrap the gingerbread in plastic wrap and let it rest overnight.
- 7Decorate before serving if desired.
