Ingredients
- 10.5 pound country ham(227g)
- 26 cup water(1420g)
- 31 onion(110g)
- 42 pound frozen butter beans (baby lima beans)(907g)
- 51 sheet store-bought pie dough(230g)
- 60.5 teaspoon black pepper(1g)
Instructions
- 1Place the country ham in a large pot and cover with water. Add the onion.
- 2Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes to make a stock.
- 3Add the frozen butter beans to the pot.
- 4Cook until the beans are very tender, about 30-40 minutes.
- 5Cut the store-bought pie dough into strips.
- 6Drop the dough strips into the pot and stir.
- 7Lightly mash some of the beans to make the mixture creamy.
- 8Continue to cook for another 10 minutes until the dough is cooked through.
- 9Season with cracked black pepper to taste.
- 10Serve hot.
