Ingredients

  • 1500 g ground beef(500g)
  • 2250 g ground lamb(250g)
  • 32 clove garlic(6g)
  • 41 onion(100g)
  • 51 teaspoon salt(6g)
  • 60.5 teaspoon black pepper(1g)
  • 70.5 teaspoon baking soda(2g)
  • 82 tablespoon water(30g)

Instructions

  1. 1Finely chop the onion and garlic.
  2. 2In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground lamb, chopped onion, garlic, salt, black pepper, and baking soda.
  3. 3Add water and mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
  4. 4Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld.
  5. 5Shape the meat mixture into small, finger-sized sausages (cevapi).
  6. 6Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  7. 7Grill the cevapi for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through and nicely browned.
  8. 8Serve hot, traditionally with flatbread, chopped onions, and ajvar if desired.
