Grilled Chicken (Ayam Bakar)
Ingredients
- 11 whole Chicken(1200g)
- 26 cloves Shallots(60g)
- 34 cloves Garlic(16g)
- 41 teaspoon Coriander powder(2g)
- 51 teaspoon Turmeric powder(2g)
- 61 teaspoon Salt(5g)
- 71 teaspoon Sugar(4g)
- 83 tablespoons Sweet soy sauce(45g)
- 92 tablespoons Cooking oil(28g)
- 10300 ml Water(300g)
Instructions
- 1Clean and cut the chicken into serving pieces.
- 2Blend shallots, garlic, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, and sugar into a smooth paste.
- 3Heat cooking oil in a pan, then sauté the spice paste until fragrant.
- 4Add the chicken pieces and stir until coated with the spices.
- 5Pour in water and cook until the chicken is tender and the liquid is reduced.
- 6Add sweet soy sauce and mix well.
- 7Remove the chicken from the pan and grill over charcoal or in the oven until browned and slightly charred.
- 8Brush with remaining sauce while grilling for extra flavor.
- 9Serve hot with rice and sambal if desired.
