Ingredients

  • 14 cups All-purpose flour(480g)
  • 21.5 cups Water(360g)
  • 32.25 teaspoons Active dry yeast(7g)
  • 42 tablespoons Sugar(25g)
  • 51.5 teaspoons Salt(8g)
  • 62 tablespoons Butter(28g)

Instructions

  1. 1In a large bowl, dissolve sugar in warm water and sprinkle yeast over the top. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. 2Add melted butter and salt to the yeast mixture.
  3. 3Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. 4Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. 5Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. 6Punch down the dough and divide into two equal portions.
  7. 7Shape each portion into a loaf and place in greased loaf pans.
  8. 8Cover and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  9. 9Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
