Ingredients
- 14 cups All-purpose flour(480g)
- 21.5 cups Water(360g)
- 32.25 teaspoons Active dry yeast(7g)
- 42 tablespoons Sugar(25g)
- 51.5 teaspoons Salt(8g)
- 62 tablespoons Butter(28g)
Instructions
- 1In a large bowl, dissolve sugar in warm water and sprinkle yeast over the top. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- 2Add melted butter and salt to the yeast mixture.
- 3Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
- 4Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 5Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- 6Punch down the dough and divide into two equal portions.
- 7Shape each portion into a loaf and place in greased loaf pans.
- 8Cover and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.
- 9Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 10Bake loaves for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- 11Remove from pans and cool on a wire rack before slicing.
