Classic Tomato Bruschetta
Ingredients
- 12 tomato(300g)
- 210 basil leaves(5g)
- 30.5 Spanish onion(60g)
- 44 slice bread (sliced, rustic or sourdough)(160g)
- 52 garlic cloves(10g)
- 61 tablespoon fresh oregano(2g)
- 72 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil(27g)
- 82 teaspoon balsamic glaze(12g)
- 90.5 teaspoon salt(3g)
- 100.25 teaspoon black pepper(0.5g)
- 1180 g stracciatella cheese (optional)(80g)
Instructions
- 1Wash and cube the tomatoes.
- 2Wash the basil leaves and finely chop them.
- 3Peel and finely dice half a Spanish onion.
- 4In a bowl, combine the cubed tomatoes, chopped basil, and diced onion.
- 5Peel the garlic cloves and crush them in a mortar with fresh oregano and a dash of olive oil to make a paste.
- 6Toast the bread slices until golden.
- 7Rub the toasted bread with the garlic-oregano paste.
- 8Drizzle a little extra virgin olive oil over the bread.
- 9Spoon the tomato mixture over the bread slices.
- 10Drizzle with balsamic glaze and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 11Optionally, top with stracciatella cheese.
- 12Serve immediately.
