Instructions

  1. 1Melt unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. 2Add all-purpose flour and whisk until smooth, cooking for 1-2 minutes.
  3. 3Gradually pour in beef or chicken stock, whisking constantly to avoid lumps.
