  • 40.25 cup soy sauce(60g)
  • 52 clove garlic, minced(6g)
  • 61 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced(5g)
  • 71 tablespoon arrowroot starch(8g)
  • 81 tablespoon water (for slurry)(15g)
  • 90.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes(0.5g)
  • 102 tablespoon green onion, sliced(8g)
  • 111 teaspoon sesame seeds(3g)
  • 122 cup white rice, cooked(340g)

Instructions

  1. 1Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned and cooked through.
  2. 2Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. 3Add minced garlic, minced ginger, and brown sugar to the beef. Stir and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. 4Pour in the soy sauce and hot water. Stir to combine.
  5. 5In a small bowl, mix arrowroot starch with 1 tablespoon water to make a slurry.
  6. 6Add the slurry to the skillet and stir well. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. 7Season with red pepper flakes to taste.
  8. 8Serve the Mongolian beef mixture over cooked white rice.
